At Tai Chi Kao Ya, slow roasted duck is served with a revival: honey mustard type dipping sauce! Succulent, sweet and tangy duck alongside a variety of pickles and salads: fresh green salad, pickled radishes, kimchi (spicy, Korean cabbage), marinated tofu, pickled green beans, and seasoned bean sprouts all add up to a unique and satisfying dining experience for anyone looking for something different.
Set meals each with different side dishes for groups of 2 or more people make it ideal for parties or celebrations of any kind. Even on a Wednesday evening the atmosphere is one of revelry with office parties underway, groups of old friends gathered to eat and share a beer or two and plenty of staff bustling around to ensure everyone enjoys their dining adventure.
The staff are patient and helpful and the menus have colored pictures with additional dishes on order to add to, or instead of, the set menu. Bathrooms, while not directly in the restaurant, are simply across the hall and are well-kept.
In a shopping mall on the 2nd floor, it’s a bit difficult to find, as neither taxi drivers nor street vendors recognize the name even with the business card. Feel free to call though, they will be happy to give you or the taxi driver directions.
